Project Story

With the largest population of the blind in the world, India has over 55 million visually impaired and 8 million people who are completely blind.  Fortunately, nearly 80% of the sight issues are curable. SEF’s mission to bring sight back to millions in India. Sankara Eye Hospitals are focused on providing the highest quality care and service to the needy at our eight state-of-the-art hospitals all over India. Join to help eradicate curable blindness in India. Donate towards surgeries or towards the construction of upcoming hospitals in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh or Telangana.

Join our Community Room to connect with other like minded people or go to http://www.giftofvision.org and donate directly. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

*Johnson & Johnson is matching funds up to $250 per person so, if a couple donates $250 individually, for a total of $500, this will be matched by J&J, making it $1,000, and the couple can become Founding Donor and have their name on the Wall of Founders at one of the upcoming hospital. Go to www.giftofvision.org.

But in the communities they serve, it's 9 out of 9. Water is a daily and crippling challenge. Children often bear the burden of walking miles each day to find water in streams and ponds, full of water-borne disease that is making them and their families sick.
